Poisoned Love

[ 1 ] May 3, 2008 | Matthew Henrickson

This was an interesting poem that I wrote. It was all in one flow, no edits. I hate editing…

“Poisoned Love”

Your forbidden kiss
like poison to my lips.
Diseasing my heart
Infecting me as we part.
Your love so sweet
Without it I’m incomplete.
I risk death to be in your arms
and to feel your love.
Being with you hurts my heart
and stings my soul
but it would be even worse without you.
I need to feel your love.
I need your love to continue.
I need to be plagued by your kiss
and held in your arms.
Keeping me alive
Is that poison
That starting killing me
In the beginning.
