Fish in the Sea

[ 2 ] January 2, 2009 | Matthew Henrickson

depressed fish in the sea“There are tons of fish in the sea, but what if I don’t know how to fish?” ~ Matthew Henrickson

Now even the fish are depressed. What am I supposed to ‘catch’ ?

The San Diego Union Tribune posted this short article:

“Researchers have found that antidepressants in rivers and lakes, part of the flood of pharmaceuticals washing into the environment, make fish sad, casuing them to cease eating or looking for mates. Some fish even stop swimming, preferring instead to simply hang vertically in the water.”

Even though “fish in the sea” is a metaphor, seems so real doesn’t it?

Great post, Matt. Except it made me sad reading it. Just like the fish. Will you email me? I have a question for you?
